Achieck Njeck: Awareness is Not an Event. It is a Life-Saving Intervention

Achieck Njeck, Student Nurse, Clinical Nrainee at Bamenda Regional Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“They say knowledge is power but I say knowledge has no power without action…

Today, we took breast cancer awareness beyond hospital walls and into the marketplace, meeting people where they live, work, and make daily decisions.

Every myth challenged, every question answered, and every person educated brings us one step closer to earlier detection and more lives saved.

We educated our community members and made them to understand what breast cancer is, and how it comes about, the causes, the risk factors, the prevention strategies, where to go to if signs are noticed, how to perform self breast exams every month, break myths, answered questions.

Awareness is not an event. It is a life-saving intervention.
Detect Early. Act Fast. Navigate Safely. Save Lives.”
