“Last Friday was a historical day at KUTRRH-Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital . We had our inaugural End of Year Review and Award Ceremony – the first since the inception of the hospital in 2019. The day was full of events: we danced, we had competitions, we had sports and of course enjoyed the delicious food.
I am honoured to be recognised for the work I do outside the walls of the hospitals in shaping the field of cancer care in Kenya and beyond. Although I am the one visible, this would not have been possible without our team effort.
Our directorate of clinical services was the best performing. The Integrated Molecular Imaging Center team was recognised for being the first public hospital to use theranostics- Lutetium in management of prostate cancer while the pharmacy team for its outstanding work.
I would like to sincerely thank the administration, organising committee and the entire KUTRRH for recognising our work and great organisation of the event. Congratulations to all the awardees.
