Abdu Adem Yesufe, Program Director of Adult Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As a member of the TWG, I am delighted to have contributed to the National Cancer Control Plan (NCCP) for Ethiopia. This comprehensive document represents a significant advancement in the development of cancer care strategies for both the present and future. It will serve as a valuable resource for policymakers and healthcare professionals across the nation, providing guidance and best practices for improving cancer care outcomes. It has been an honour to be a part of a dedicated team working towards making a tangible impact on the cancer care landscape.
What does it matter?!
The National Cancer Care Plan (NCCP) offers a comprehensive strategy for preventing, controlling, and treating cancer in Ethiopia.
It was developed through the collective expertise of professionals and stakeholders, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities in Ethiopia’s healthcare system.
I’m proud to have contributed to this strategic document, which will improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden of cancer across the country.
I am highly optimistic about the future and eagerly anticipate the implementation of the plan.”
