American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Beginner Investigator Grants for Catalytic Research (BIG Cat) are two-year grants of USD $60,000 USD that are available to support early-career African investigators who received their highest degree of study (PhD, DO, MB ChB, MB BS, BM MCh, or equivalent) within the past ten years and who are residing and conducting cancer research in Africa.
Letters of intent are due May 12.”
Ashani Weeraratna, Associate Director for Laboratory Research at Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, shared AACR’s post, adding:
“As someone who grew up in Africa with little option for this kind of funding and support, I am delighted that the American Association for Cancer Research is supporting young investigators there!”
