Nesrine Mejri: The Central Goal of the National Cancer Control Agency of Lybia

Nesrine Mejri, Head of Department of Oncology at Abderrahmen Mami Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

” Empowering multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and enhancing their efficiency was the central goal of the National Cancer Control Agency of Lybia.

Ismail Siala as an orchestor, bringing together experts from Egypt and Tunisia in an intensive workshop, created a rich platform for knowledge exchange, with the participation of more than 60 oncology physicians from Libya.
Pr Hamdy Azim delivered inspiring sessions, highlighting the fascinating complexity of breast cancer—where scientific rigor meets the nuanced, often artistic reality of clinical practice making MDTs a vital necessity.

I had the privilege of contributing to the development of the roadmap for this initiative.
With such strong engagement from authorities and the dedication of experts on the ground, there is every reason to be optimistic about the future of cancer care for every Libyan citizen—despite the challenges.”
