The Max Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We’re thrilled to share a milestone for breast cancer care in Papua New Guinea.
The first breast cancer program participant has now been approved under our collaboration with Port Moresby General Hospital.
This marks an important step forward in expanding access to life-extending treatment for people living with breast cancer.
As Aina Anota explains,
‘Access to The Max Foundation’s breast cancer program means women with stage 4 breast cancer can now have access to treatment that was once out of reach. This program will change outcomes for our patients who need it the most. It is a milestone in transforming cancer care in Papua New Guinea.’
Grateful to Dr. Aina and local partners for their continued commitment to care.
Expanding Equitable Access to Advanced Breast Cancer Care.”
