Sergey Badalyan: Here’s to New Beginnings, Meaningful Connections, and Lifelong Learning

Sergey Badalyan, Publishing Editor at OncoDaily and Medical Oncology Resident at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Hey Linkedin community! I am Sergey Badalyan, an oncology fellow from Armenia. You may have seen my posts before, but I felt it was time for a proper introduction.

This autumn marks the start of my residency in Oncology at Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi, a step that feels both new and deeply familiar.

My path in oncology actually began a few years ago, when I spent a semester at UCL studying Cancer Biomedicine during the pandemic. That experience gave me a comprehensive view of what cancer really is, not just as a disease, but as a complex system that challenges science and humanity every day. Since then, oncology has been more than a field of study for me, it became the direction I want to grow in.

After six years at YSMU, countless exams, and a fair share of challenges, I’m now officially stepping into clinical practice. Alongside my residency, I serve as a Publishing Editor at OncoDaily, where I oversee the publication process, curate and prioritize oncology content, and ensure the accuracy and quality of stories shared with the global cancer community.

Here’s to new beginnings, meaningful connections, and lifelong learning.

If you’re an oncologist, researcher, or healthcare professional passionate about advancing cancer science and patient care, I’d love to connect.

Next up: ESMO2025 in Berlin 🇩🇪

If you’re attending too, let’s connect and meet during the congress! I’m always open to new collaborations, research ideas, and meaningful professional connections. Whether you’re a clinician, researcher, or student passionate about oncology, I’d love to hear from you and grow this network together.

I truly believe that networks create collaborations, and collaborations create change.

Let’s build that change together. ”
