European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, with 375,000 new cases diagnosed each year in the European Union alone.
Early detection and effective therapies are essential for positive outcomes.
The ‘European Quality Assurance Scheme for Breast Cancer Services’, launched in February, strives to improve standards and consistency throughout the cancer care pathway, including:
- screening and diagnosis
- treatment and survivorship
- palliative and supportive care
This Pink October, the European Commission invites healthcare organisations to help expand the network of providers adopting this scheme.
Help us reduce the equity gap in European cancer care. Learn more.”
