Daniel Flora: Sharing Knowledge and Inspiring Change for Breast Cancer Awareness

Daniel Flora, Medical Oncologist and Medical Director of Oncology Research at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In honor of my mom, who I lost to breast cancer at 43, and the more than 300,000 women who will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in the U.S. this year, I will be posting here every day this October.

Her loss is the reason I became an oncologist and why I believe prevention and early detection are some of the most powerful tools we have.

I will be sharing daily reflections on risk reduction, treatment advances, and survivorship, along with a few longer essays I am writing with my colleague Jasmin Hundal.

We have made tremendous progress in breast cancer. My hope is to share knowledge that empowers you to see what is possible and what we can do together to keep moving forward toward a world without breast cancer.”
