“From Surviving to Thriving: Our Champions at Nabhangan 2025
This weekend at the Nabhangan Festival – Childhood Cancer Survivors Sports Fest in Mumbai, our incredible young survivors turned athletes gave us all a reason to celebrate.
They won:
- Gold in Swimming
- Gold in Table Tennis
- Gold in Chess
Each medal represents not just sporting excellence, but the indomitable spirit of children who have faced cancer and emerged stronger. Their victories remind us that survivorship is about more than cure — it’s about thriving, dreaming, and living life to the fullest.
As a pediatric hemato-oncologist, it fills me with pride to see my patients shine beyond hospital walls. These moments reaffirm why holistic care, survivorship support, and community initiatives matter so deeply.
Grateful to my team at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre and to initiatives like Nabhangan, for giving our children a platformto shine.”
