“We just returned from the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro — visiting the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC) in Moshi, Tanzania where I met a top notch team and spent some down time with Benedict and Robert – two incredible pediatric cancer nurse leaders whose dedication to their patients is nothing short of heroic.
Every year, about 400,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide. In too many places, survival depends on where a child lives — and that’s something we can change.
Through the ACT for Children initiative, we’re standing side by side with leaders like Benedict and Robert to close the survival gap and make sure every child, everywhere, has the chance to grow up.
