Paolo A. Ascierto: I am extremely moved to share that my H-index has reached 100!

Quoting Paolo A. Ascierto, Director Department of Melanoma, Cancer Immunotherapy, Development Therapeutics at the National Cancer Institute IRCCS G. Pascale Foundation, Naples, on LinkedIn:

”I am extremely moved to share that my H-index has reached 100!
As I read it on the Scopus website, I cry with happiness because behind every point of this metric, which measures the productivity and citation impact of an author’s publications, there are studies, research and experiments conducted throughout my career, and therefore patients and therefore human lives for which we fight every day. Years of sacrifices. The greatest: having often diverted the good towards the great passion for research.

100….I’m not the first, many other researchers better than me have reached this milestone first. I certainly won’t be the last. A goal that I want to dedicate to all my collaborators…everyone!!! Those who have followed me for years, those who passed during my studies, those who received well-deserved promotions, those who went to work in other Italian or foreign institutions.

Obviously I can’t make a special dedication to my Institute… the IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori Fondazione G Pascale, Napoli, Italy! I have lived my life as a researcher in this Institute for 32 years. And that’s where every single point of my H-index 100 was built.
I am happy! But this isn’t a final goal… it’s just the goal of the mountain grand prix (cyclically speaking). That goal that serves as a spur to reach the final goal: to overcome ourselves more and more for the good of our patients.

Ad maiora guys and congratulations to all of us!!!
I love you.”
