Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: Hitting article on cancer care emergency on world refugee week

Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu shared a post by Nazik Hammad, on X:

This world refugee week, I am reminded of this short but hitting article from Nazik Hammad focusing on cancer care emergency, which sadly, still lingers. The number of internally displaced people in Sudan has reached over 10M whilst 2.5M have crossed the borders.

Quoting Nazik Hammad‘s post:

“Just published in the Lancet: our short article on the enormity of the effect of the current conflict in Sudan on cancer care in Sudan and the entire region. The war must stop and concerted efforts are needed to respond to the crisis.”
