Eliz Tazimova: Our project at ESMO In Focus Breast Cancer 2024 Bulgaria

“On June 7th and 8th, I had the pleasure of seeing a project we had been working on for the past few months come to fruition – ESMO In Focus Breast Cancer 2024 Bulgaria.
The event was focused on the latest advancements in diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive approaches for patients with breast cancer.
Our primary goal was to bring together all the specialists related to this diagnosis in one place.
It was a true pleasure to share experiences with leading experts.
We were honored to host our international lecturers – Isabel Rubio, Giuseppe Curigliano, Matteo Lambertini, Kevin Punie, Lazar Popovic, and Ana Cvetanovic.
Thank you for your support and willingness to share your expertise with your Bulgarian colleagues.
I would also like to thank all the Bulgarian lecturers, whose names would make this post endless, for believing in the idea and the importance of making this scientific event happen, making us the reason for the first national conference dedicated to breast cancer.
Special thanks to Jeliazko Arabadjiev, one of the main drivers of this idea, for believing and being a stimulus for the realization of this project.

Winning licensing from ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology for a Bulgarian scientific event and going through all stages of approval and implementation was indeed a real challenge. But the satisfaction with the final result is great.
