Cost of care discussions in medical records of patient with advanced NSCLC and melanoma – ACS Journal Cancer
Robin Yabroff, Scientific Vice President at the American Cancer Society, recently shared a post by ACS Journal Cancer on X, adding:
“Despite recommendations for cost-of-care discussions as part of high-quality cancer care, they are rarely documented in the medical records of individuals with advanced cancers. Increasing discussions and documentation critical, especially with high-cost treatment options.”
Quoting ACS Journal Cancer’s post:
“Cost of care discussions are infrequent in medical records of patient with advanced NSCLC and melanoma. A new study led by Dr Robin Yabroff calls for efforts to increase cost discussions and relevant referrals for all patients.”
