Abeid M. Athman Omar, Clinical Oncology Specialist at
”I am delighted to have received two awards at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2024 meeting in Chicago, USA.
The first Award is the International Development Educational Award – IDEA by Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation. Thanks to the IDEA award I will be going to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Breast Unit under Sara Tolaney who is going to be my mentor.
The second award was the Yvonne Award by OncoDaily in the Community Oncology Category. This is for appreciating me serving my community on weekends where I volunteer with different organizations to provide cancer care free of charge.
I would like to thank all those who nominated me, wrote recommendations, my patients, my family and the selection committee for these awards. These awards have inspired me to learn more and serve my community with more zeal and passion.”
