Manifesto for the paediatric oncology and haematology community – Childhood Cancer International-Europe
Childhood Cancer International-Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Did you know that Childhood Cancer, though rare, remains a leading cause of death by disease among children in Europe? It is a devastating reality that demands immediate and concerted action. When we launched the Manifesto on February 15th along with SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE), our goal was to call for action towards a more inclusive, equitable, and health-focused Europe, where every child has the chance to thrive.
Since then, the response from organisations and policymakers has been overwhelming. As people are heading to the polls this weekend for the European Elections, we wanted to take a moment to express our appreciation to the 90+ Members of the European Parliament and the 30+ organisations from 30+ countries that supported the manifesto and voiced their commitment into making a tangible difference in the lives of the youngest and most vulnerable members of our society.
With over 35,000 children diagnosed with cancer each year in Europe, the need for a comprehensive and collaborative approach to tackling this challenge is urgent. And the time to act is NOW! Use Your Vote.
