Sarita Jaiswal: What could be a greater gift than what we got today on Cancer Day from a little girl
Sarita Jaiswal, Program Director and consultant at Dharamshila Narayana superspecility hospital, shared on their LinkedIn:
”What could be a greater gift than what we got today on ‘Cancer Day’ from a little girl who is just 11 years old ‘portrait of doctors’? Yes, it is the story of her mother’s journey or rather the journey of the entire family – which began when she was just two and a half years old. At that tender age, she was deprived of her mother’s love due to the diagnosis of a dreaded disease called Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Her mother underwent a haploidentical BMT from her half-matched brother and now, she is more than seven years post-transplantation and back to her normal life and enjoying with the daughter.
These keep us alive and inspire us to work. Thanks to my whole team for helping her through the tough journey.”
