Cary Gross, Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, recently shared on X:
“NEW: Treating cancer in the last 14 days of life can be harmful and wasteful. Some argue that patients at oncology practices with high EOL treatment rates may have better outcomes.
NOT TRUE! We found patients with higher “aggressive” practices did not have higher survival.
