The shortage of cancer drugs raises concerns about liability and impacts patient care
“I think it’s not a surprise that the old generic, low cost-drugs are getting the short end of the manufacturing stick,” said Barbara McAneny, MD, CEO of New Mexico Cancer Center and former American Medical Association president. “I think that drug shortages are going to be here for the long haul, particularly the less expensive backbones of our treatment programs, and I’m very worried about that.”
