Tracey O’Brien: Privilege to connect with some of the brightest cancer research minds in Cancer Institute NSW 2024 Fellows’ Forum

Tracey O’Brien shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What a privilege to connect with some of the brightest cancer research minds in our state today for the Cancer Institute NSW 2024 Fellows’ Forum.

We’re thrilled to be able to support early and mid career cancer researchers working in NSW LHDs, universities and Medical Research Institutions, and one of my great pleasures is being able to spend time with people who are striving to create a better future for all of us.

Today was all about collaborating and learning from each other, and I want to thank all of who came together to make it such a success – Dr Ben Smith, A/Prof Liz Caldon, A/Prof Reema Harrison, Dr Sean Porazinski, Dr Brooke Pereira, Dr Chirstina Signorelli, Dr Emmy Fleuren, Dr Kendelle Murphy, Dr Rebekah Laidsaar-Powell, Dr Nunki Hassan, Dr Ursula Sansom-Daly, Dr Heather Murray, Dr Yuchen Feng, Dr Mahdi Zeraati, Dr Amelia P. and many more.

Special recognition to our outstanding speakers; A/Prof Mark Cowley gave a brilliant keynote on realising the promise of precision medicine and Professor Geoff Delaney shared his experience and wisdom on building research capacity. Cancer Voices NSW leaders Elisabeth Kochman and Murray McLachlan gave invaluable tips on involving consumers in research and Cathie Withyman from the Research Impact Academy held a workshop on communicating impact. Thanks to Maria Mury, Leighna Carmichael, Cara McFarlane and other from the CINSW team who worked hard to make this event happen. ”
