Eline Bertrums on International collaborations and Genetic Insights in Childhood Cancer
Eline Bertrums, Physician assistant (ANIOS) pediatrics at Gelderland Valley Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last November I received my PhD for my dissertation entitled ‘the clonal dynamics underlying the onset and disappearance of myeloid diseases’, and last week an article was published in the Dutch Journal of Haematology that briefly summarizes the most important findings.
Important points that emerge here are the importance of international collaborations in research into rare forms of childhood cancer, such as different subtypes of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), and genetic abnormalities that can affect both the treatment and follow-up of children with cancer.
With many thanks to my supervisors, co-supervisors and all co-authors of the published studies. I look forward to future collaborations!”
