Roupen Odabashian: Writing medical notes is very subjective: Some AI scribe can help
Roupen Odabashian shared a post on LinkedIn:
”I remember in residency, I spent the first two months learning the style of note writing for each attending because I had to write my notes according to their preference.
Writing medical notes is very subjective; some physicians write very detailed notes, some write very brief notes, and some fall in between.
Some AI scribe companies give you the ability to insert a template (pre-designed blueprint) where you can tell the AI scribe your writing style. However, doctors won’t create a template. Unfortunately, we are still far behind. There are tons of doctors who don’t know what ChatGPT is.
The perfect AI scribe would be an AI model where I can feed it my last 10 medical notes, and it learns my writing style and crafts a note depending on that.”
