Aruni Ghose: It’s a priviledge that I was taught the C of Collaboration right from the word go
Aruni Ghose, Internal Medicine Resident at Barts Health NHS Trust
“Started out as a Foundation Year 1 Doctor at Medway NHS Foundation Trust in 2020 given the additional role of ‘Junior Lead for Transformation of Cancer Services’ without being in the Specialised Foundation Programme.
Coming back 3 years later to present our work led by wonderful friends Anna Vassiliou, Temidayo Osunronbi, Synthia Enyioma on ‘Prognostic Factors in patients with Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression secondary to Lung Cancer – Retrospective Single Centre UK Study’ on 11th April at the very succesful joint meet Medway NHSFT Research and Innovation Team with Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Greenwich.
Reminds me of a fantastic Collaborative effort – Stergios Boussios, Afroditi Karathanasi, Gerardo Rago, Matin Sheriff, Christos Mikropoulos, Michele Moschetta, Cyrus Chargari.
It’s a priviledge that I was taught the C of Collaboration right from the word go. I am grateful to be Self Made and NOT an NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) Academic Clinical Fellow and that has allowed me to be part of such a wide range of instituitions and organisations I collaborate with on a daily basis and have so many different roles which am proud of – Barts Health NHS Trust, Barts Cancer Institute (Queen Mary University of London), East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, UKI Global Cancer Network, London Global Cancer Week, Royal Society of Medicine, European Cancer Organisation, International Urology Cancer Summit.
Richard Pemberton has transformed the Medway NHS Foundation Trust Knowledge and Library Service and it was rewarding to see my team’s papers stuck on the Staff Publications wall.
Looking forward to coming back next year to this joint venture led by Jennifer Teke, Kusal Weerasinghe, Eleni Hatzidimitriadou and Laura Adams – what a hard working Collaborative Team.”
