Michael Kupferman: Thank you to Madappa Kundranda for participating in several recent media interviews about colon cancer
Michael Kupferman, Senior Vice President at Banner Health, shared a post on X:
“Thank you to Madappa Kundranda, a gastrointestinal medical oncologist at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, for participating in several recent media interviews about colon cancer. Dr. Kundranda talked through risk factors for colon cancer with KTAR Radio, which include alcohol consumption, lack of exercise and poor diet. He also discussed what can be done to lower one’s colorectal cancer risk. In a separate interview with FOX10, he addressed the impact that a cancer diagnosis can have on a patient and their loved ones – especially with the rise of certain cancers in younger adults.
Finally, Dr. Kundranda was featured on the front page of the Daily Independent with a story that focused on Banner Health patient Will F., who is currently battling stage-four colorectal cancer and who was diagnosed at just 37 years old. He has been under Dr. Kundranda’s care for several years. Dr. Kundranda discussed the rise of colorectal cancer diagnoses in adults younger than 50, shared some insight into what’s causing this rise, and finally discussed signs and symptoms that could be a red flag. Read more about this inspirational story.
Thank you, Dr. Kundranda, for sharing such important information with these media outlets. Thank you for all you do for our patients and their loved ones at Banner MD Anderson!”
