The C/Can Abuja Stakeholder Mapping Workshop – City Cancer Challenge
Quoting City Cancer Challenge on LinkedIn:
“Success is not a solo journey. Every initiative requires the participation of everyone involved, and their willingness to take ownership. This week, Abuja’s leading organisations in health and cancer care demonstrated their commitment to this principle by convening at the C/Can Abuja Stakeholder Mapping Workshop, co-hosted and organised with the Federal Capital Territory.
Over 60 stakeholders representing leading organisations from Government, private and public hospitals, and civil society, including patient groups and academia across the city, officially launched the start of the C/Can engagement process. Together, they collectively identified and agreed on the most relevant institutions to be included in the governance body that will oversee the prioritisation, design and implementation of city projects. It was a crucial step in aligning efforts, understanding the landscape, and enabling networking and partnerships to enhance cancer care in Abuja.
We thank the Ministry of Health and the Federal Capital Territory teams for their able leadership in driving the rollout of the C/Can initiative in Abuja. Their commitment and dedication are a testament to the power of collaboration and how it can transform the fight against cancer.”
