Ahmed Magdy Rabea: IASLC’s First Global DEI Assessment
Ahmed Magdy Rabea, Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology and Hematology at the National Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am honored to be contributing as a co-author to our poster ‘First Assessment of IASLC Inclusive Practices and Challenges: Results From the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey’ presented at WCLC 2025.
This project represents the first global DEI assessment within IASLC, aiming to understand member perceptions, highlight existing gaps, and identify opportunities to make our community more inclusive and equitable.
Proud to be part of this important step toward ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to global lung cancer research and care.
Grateful to my colleagues and co-authors for their incredible teamwork and to IASLC for prioritizing DEI in its mission.
