Don’t Miss the 6th Pakistan Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Symposium
The 6th Pakistan Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Symposium (6th PNOS) is a landmark event dedicated to improving the care of children with brain tumors through global collaboration, cutting-edge research, and clinical excellence.
Event Details:
- Theme: Global Standardization in the Management of Childhood Brain Tumors
- Pre-Conference Workshops: 18th September 2025
- Main Symposium: 19th – 21st September 2025
- Venue: Auditorium, AKU, Stadium Road, Karachi, Pakistan
The 6th PNOS will bring together leading international and national experts, including pediatric neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and allied healthcare professionals. The program will feature workshops, plenary sessions, case discussions, and expert panels, creating a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Childhood brain tumors are among the most complex pediatric cancers, with survival outcomes varying widely between high-income countries and LMICs due to delayed diagnosis, limited specialized care, and lack of standardized protocols. This symposium aims to address these disparities by promoting globally recognized standards of care and their regional adaptation to improve equity and outcomes.
Objectives
- Establish Paediatric Neuro-Oncology as an essential sub-specialty of paediatric oncology in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), in alignment with global standards of care.
- Recognize and support all allied specialties — including paediatric radiation oncology, paediatric neurosurgery, neuroradiology, pathology, palliative care, and nursing — as vital contributors to the standardized multidisciplinary management of childhood brain tumors.
- Improve outcomes of paediatric brain tumors in LMICs by fostering international collaborations, twinning programs, and partnerships that promote the adoption of globally accepted protocols.
- Provide evidence-based updates from diverse disciplines involved in the care of pediatric brain tumors to support the implementation of global best practices.
