The Global Voices in Renal Oncology (VIRO) Virtual Congress, organized by OncoDaily, will be held on September 11–12, 2025. Chaired by Dr. Rana R. As Co-Chair of VIRO, Dr. Rana McKay (University of California, San Diego) opened the congress with her talk on
 “Future Directions: Emerging Agents and Combinations.”

She emphasized the momentum in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) research, highlighting how novel immunotherapies, targeted drugs, and rational combination strategies are reshaping patient care. Dr. McKay underscored the importance of personalized, biomarker-driven approaches and global collaboration, aiming to optimize survival and quality of life worldwide.

Spotlight on Gang Zhu

Dr. Zhu is the President of the CACA Genitourinary Cancer Holistic Rehabilitation Society and President of the Asian Robotic Urologic Society Scientific Committee.

At the Global Voices in Renal Oncology (VIRO) Virtual Congress 2025, Dr. Zhu will present on “Robotic Surgery with AI Enhanced Holographic Imaging: Bridging Precision, Efficiency, and Functional Preservation.” His presentation will focus on:

  • The combination of AI-driven holographic imaging with robotic surgery to improve real-time anatomical navigation and surgical accuracy.
  • Advances in augmented reality techniques that enable enhanced tumor localization, super-selective vascular clamping, and nephron preservation.
