Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: Improving Public Health Infrastructure across Africa with DP World Foundation
Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, UICC President-Elect of 2024-2026 and a Founder of the Medicaid Cancer Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“DP World is a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, delivering end-to-end services for both commercial and humanitarian operations. With a presence in over 120 locations worldwide, DP World ensures rapid, reliable logistics even in crisis situations, like recent relief efforts in Sudan, Gaza, and Lebanon.
As CEO of Medicaid Radio-diagnostics and Clinics and having interacted with policy makers, I deeply appreciate the critical role of logistics in healthcare delivery and the transformative opportunities that collaboration presents.
In this regard, Last week I met with the DP World team led by Mr. Greg Badenhors along with Ms. Leila Alagroobi, Mr. David Pritchard, Ms. Esha Mansingh and Mr. William Adjabui – under the Healthcare Africa Response Plan (HARP). Our discussions focused on leveraging DP World Foundation strengths in supply-chain infrastructure alongside Medicaid Radio-diagnostics and Clinics, MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION healthcare platforms to address critical gaps in access to essential medicines and cancer care.
DP World’s longstanding humanitarian commitment through the DP World Foundation and collaborations with organizations like Chanria, PepsiCo etc – underscores the company’s alignment with our mission to improve public health infrastructure across Africa.
The DP World team expressed strong interest in integrating public health frameworks, identifying gaps in healthcare delivery, and co-creating funding solutions.
We are excited by the promise of this partnership and confident it will yield significant health equity outcomes for communities across Nigeria and beyond.”
