European Cancer Organisation shared on LinkedIn:
“Have you read our report on the Cancer Workforce crisis?
Burnout and staff shortages are pushing Europe’s Cancer Workforce to the limit. Professionals are struggling to keep up with rising demands, and the strain is affecting the quality of Cancer Care for patients across Europe.
The report features survey results from over 700 cancer professionals, powerful personal stories, and policy recommendations to tackle the crisis.
It calls for a comprehensive Cancer Workforce Action Plan that builds:
- Healthy work environments
- Investment in skills and knowledge
- The professional development and career support
- Harmonised, and fully digitised healthcare systems to reduce the bureaucratic burden
