Applonia Rose: New in Technology in Cancer Research and Treatment
Applonia Rose, Managing Editor at Sage Publishing, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“New in Technology in Cancer Research & Treatment
Researchers from the UT Southwestern Medical Center and RefleXion Medical explored whether biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT), using real-time PET scans that pinpoint active cancer cells, could be applied to cancers beyond the current lung and bone indications.
Using processed diagnostic PET data, the team generated treatment plans for cancers in the liver, head & neck, pancreas, kidney and pelvic/abdominal lymph nodes and all deemed clinically acceptable.
Study used a BgRT platform capable of PET-guided delivery (RefleXion X1 with SCINTIX® technology).”
