Andrew M. Evens, Deputy Director for Clinical Services at Rutgers Cancer Institute, recently tweeted:

“The thoughtfulness, insight, and courage of our cancer patients is inspiring.

On her last day of chemotherapy, she had homemade Rutgers Football jerseys for me and superstar APP, Tara M. For non-oncologist experts, R-CHOP (acronym) has been a standard lymphoma treatment for 20+ years.

For non-Rutger’s University folk, “CHOP” has become synonymous with Rutgers football via Greg Schiano‘s leadership.

As she rang the bell at completion of therapy in clinic, we ‘CHOP’d” lymphoma (with parallels abound)!'”
