Nicola Fusco: Discussing How Liquid Biopsy is Transforming Cancer Diagnostics
Nicola Fusco, Director, Division of Pathology at IEO European Institute of Oncology, shared on LinkedIn:
“I’m pleased to be featured in the latest issue of ‘Epsiloon – The Scientific News Magazine’, discussing how liquid biopsy is transforming cancer diagnostics and precision oncology.
Discussing with Fiorenza Gracci, I emphasized that coordinated efforts, rigorous validation, and international harmonization are essential to bring liquid biopsy to top-quality levels. In this context, the International Society of Liquid Biopsy (ISLB), under the guidance of Christian Rolfo, and Umberto Malapelle, is playing a pivotal role in defining global standards. In Italy, we are aligning with this vision through the SIAPeC-IAP – Italian Group of Molecular Pathology and Precision Medicine ‘Task force liquid biopsy’, promoting best practices and guidelines across molecular pathology laboratories.
Grateful to Epsiloon for highlighting how liquid biopsy is impacting modern medicine…
