Evelyn Wong: Speaking on The ELCAP Framework at the upcoming ESMO RWD and Digital Oncology Webinar
Evelyn Wong, Institutional Lead for Value-Driven Care at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Excited to be part of the upcoming ESMO Real World Data and Digital Oncology Webinar on July 16, 2025, where we will be speaking on The ELCAP Framework: A Three-Tier Classification on the Use of Large Language Models (LLMs) in Clinical Practice.
This is a structured three-tier model designed to evaluate and guide safe, practical deployment of LLMs in cancer care, which we have been working on for the last 6 months.
This framework offers a structured approach to evaluating how LLMs can be safely and effectively integrated into oncology, from information retrieval and decision support to patient-facing tools. Looking forward to sharing insights and practical considerations for clinical implementation, alongside colleagues leading the charge in digital oncology.
We’ll cover:
- Real‑world use cases
- Key considerations: safety, validation, bias mitigation
- Practical guidance for implementation in oncology settings
Join us to explore how LLMs can responsibly transform digital oncology through rigorous classification and clinical integration.
