Françoise Meunier: Deeply Honoured to be Featured in the Latest Issue of CancerWorld
Françoise Meunier, Founder of the European Initiative on Ending Discrimination Against Cancer Survivors, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am deeply honoured to be featured in the latest issue of CancerWorld (July 2025), reflecting on a lifelong journey in cancer research and patient advocacy.
The article touches on the early influences that shaped my path, the compassion I witnessed in my father’s work, the discipline my mother instilled, and the many challenges and breakthroughs over the decades.
From my early days researching infectious complications in cancer patients, to leading the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), and now fully focusing on the rights of cancer survivors, this has been a journey fueled by dedication and the unwavering belief that research and policy can make a real difference.
What keeps me going is not titles or milestones, but the countless patients and survivors whose lives inspire ongoing progress and change. There is still so much to do, and I remain committed to advancing cancer research and ensuring survivors can live fully without barriers.
Thank you to my family, friends and everyone who has been part of this path.
I hope this article offers a glimpse into the collective effort behind scientific advancement and advocacy.”
