Shankar Siva: We Randomised the Final Patient on TROG Cancer Research 19.06 DECREASE Trial
Shankar Siva, Radiation Oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, shared a post on X:
“Today, we randomised the final patient on TROG Cancer Research 19.06 DECREASE trial!
This trial randomised patients with prostate cancer who were becoming resistant to hormone therapy, without evidence of metastases on bone or CT scan, to Darolutamide +/- Stereotactic Radiotherapy to sites of disease seen on PSMA PET.
I’m very grateful to all the investigators for their tireless efforts, as well as patients and their families for participating in the trial and thanks to my co-PI Arun Azad – Now, we wait for the data to mature like a fine wine.”
