This MASCC workshop offers essential insights for building effective supportive oncology departments and learning from international leaders – key to improving patient outcomes globally.

“If you’ll be at MASCC 25, don’t forget to register for our workshops taking place Thursday and Friday mornings.
Our workshop ‘Development and Management of a Department of Supportive Oncology in a Major Cancer Center’ will be chaired by Professor Florian Scotté and Professor Camilla Zimmermann.
Learning Objectives:
Inform a multidisciplinary audience of the clinical need for a formal Department of Supportive Oncology
Describe the administrative, clinical, operational, and academic implications of a structured department
Identify the challenges and opportunities inherent in creation of a novel department
Establish a vision for the future for these services in all cancer centers and the role of MASCC and Centers of Excellence in that initiative
