Children Facing Pediatric Cancer Can Have Their Families and Siblings Nearby – World Child Cancer USA
World Child Cancer USA shared a post on LinkedIn:
“When Myint Moh Tha Khin was diagnosed with cancer, she wasn’t alone. In Myanmar, she has her mother by her side – and the support of hospital staff and volunteers who rallied around her. Together, they even took part in a head-shaving challenge to raise awareness and encourage donations.
But in many low- and middle-income countries, staying close to a child in treatment isn’t always possible. Families often travel hundreds of miles to reach a cancer hospital, and returning home each night simply isn’t an option.
That’s why World Child Cancer partners with local teams to help cover housing, transportation, and essential costs, so children facing pediatric cancer can have their families and siblings nearby – as they face so much, this support, love, and care is essential.
Learn more about the families we serve and how you can be part of this work.”
