Yin Ling Woo: Malaysia has what it takes to achieve elimination of cervical cancer
Yin Ling Woo, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University of Malaya, shared on LinkedIn:
“Towards elimination of cervical cancer through collaborative partnerships.
This week, the team at ROSE Foundation had the great privilege to host a visit by the Director of Family Health Division, Mohd Safiee and Zakiah Mohd Said, who leads the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s efforts in transitioning from cytology to HPV testing. It was a privilege to share with them our progress since Pilot ROSE (2017).
We had an extremely meaningful discussion on how, together, we can ensure that efforts by both Ministry of Health and ROSE Foundation can complement and have maximal impact in Malaysia. We identified a few areas specific to collaborate on with an emphasis on education through innovation. We have a plan!
Malaysia has what it takes to achieve elimination of cervical cancer.
Carpe diem!”
