Yüksel Ürün, Medical Oncology Professor at Ankara University School of Medicine, shared a post on X about a paper by Rita Rubin published in JAMA Network:
“Alarming rise in cancers under 50. ‘Why?’ is still unanswered.
Colon. Breast. Uterus. Diagnosed younger, often after symptoms.
Genetics explains some. But not all.
What about microplastics, colibactin, gut microbiome, and early-life exposures?
We need research, not just younger screening!”
