Farewell Gathering for Babak Lab’s Exceptional Students: Christopher Fung, Ho-Jung Choe, and Maryana Yarshova
Maria (Masha) Babak, Head of The Babak Lab, shared a post on LinkedIn by The Babak Lab, adding:
“Working with Chris, Ho-jung, and Maryana has been a real pleasure. You brought not only knowledge, but heart to our team – and you’ll truly be missed.
I’m proud of who you’ve become and excited for all that lies ahead. The door is always open — you’ll always be part of our story.”
Quoting The Babak Lab‘s post:
“Amid the steady rhythm of demanding yet deeply fulfilling academic and professional days, there are moments that invite us to pause — to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate.
We recently shared one such moment during a farewell gathering for our exceptional students: Christopher Fung, Ho-Jung Choe, and Maryana Yarshova. Surrounded by laughter, stories, and the rich aroma of hot pot, we played mahjong and enjoyed each other’s company — creating warm memories that softened the bittersweet pang of goodbye.
Though farewells often carry a touch of sadness, they are also milestones – gentle reminders that growth moves us forward. The thought that countless new opportunities await each of you is both comforting and inspiring.
We are proud to have shared this part of the journey with you, and even more excited to see where your next steps will lead. You will always remain a valued part of our team’s story, and we look forward to the discoveries still to come.”
