George Vlachogiannis Shared New Findings from CREDIT Study on Financial Toxicity in Cancer Care

George Vlachogiannis, Managing Editor – Cancer Control at Sage, shared an article on LinkedIn:

“New research related to the CREDIT study (SWOG S1912CD) tackles the pervasive issue of financial toxicity among cancer patients and caregivers.
Despite initial challenges, including complex dyadic enrollment and protocol barriers, CREDIT successfully restructured its design, leading to a threefold increase in enrollment and diverse participant inclusion.
Pragmatic trial design and responsive protocol adaptation are essential for translating financial navigation interventions into scalable, real-world solutions for cancer care. This work provides a benchmark for integrating implementation science into financial toxicity research.”
