Wafaa M Rashed: A Special Tribute to the 7th Cohort of the Policy Advocacy in Genetics and Genomics Course
Wafaa M Rashed, Faculty Lecturer of pharmacy at Ahram Canadian University, posted on LinkedIn:
“A Special Tribute to the 7th Cohort
The 7th Cohort of the Policy Advocacy in Genetics and Genomics Course will always hold a very special place in my heart.
When this cohort began, my beloved father was admitted to the ICU. Shortly afterward, he passed away. My father was a man who deeply valued work and taught me that true dedication is a responsibility, not just a task.
In honor of his memory — and inspired by the values he instilled in me — I chose to continue leading the course through this challenging time. Today, I proudly dedicate the success of this cohort to his soul.
I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our incredible Teaching Assistants, Ms. Mariym Youssif (from Egypt) and Dr. Ernest Ahamah, MLS.D (From Ghana), whose unwavering support and commitment made a tremendous difference. Their dedication was a true pillar behind the success of this cohort.
This 7th Cohort is not only a story of knowledge and leadership — it is a story of resilience, teamwork, and honoring a legacy.
Thank you to every participant, every supporter, and everyone who believes in the power of education to drive change. This achievement is for all of us — and especially, for a father who taught me the meaning of true dedication.”
