Eric Esrailian: Historic day for UCLA, California & the world
Eric Esrailian, Chief of the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases at UCLA, shared on Facebook:
“Historic day for UCLA, California & the world!
5 years in the making, but hundreds of years of scientific research has created this opportunity. Thank you to Governor Newsom, the California Legislature, the UC Regents, President Drake, Chancellor Block, Vice Chancellor Mazziotta, Dean Dubinett, President Spisso & all of our students, faculty & staff who have made this possible.
I especially want to thank my dear friends, mentors, partners & visionary co-founders of the California Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy (CIII): Meyer Luskin, Gary Michelson, Arie Belldegrun, Sean Parker and Michael Milken. We have been through a lot together as founders to get to this point, and the best is yet to come. It is a dream come true to join the CIII with the Center for Quantum Science and Engineering to create the transformational UCLA Research Park.
This once-in-a-generation venture will lead to breakthrough discoveries in biomedical sciences, quantum sciences, artificial intelligence, therapeutics, and the companies that will save lives & change the world! We look forward to sharing more in the years to come.
