“UICC is proud to share a new photo mission in collaboration with UICC member, the Swedish Cancer Society. This mission takes you behind the scenes of Sweden’s pioneering work in cancer rese arch, early detection, and patient support.
Captured by photographer Edis Potori, the mission highlights three areas of impact:
- Uppsala University’s Immunology, Genetics, and Pathology Department – where cutting-edge research on precision medicine and targeted therapies is advancing cancer treatment.
- Primary Healthcare Centres – where early cancer detection is saving lives through vigilant care.
- Cancerlinjen – Cancerfonden’s national helpline offering support and expert guidance to those affected by cancer.
With 70+ years of dedicated work and through its research funding, advocacy, and support services, Cancerfonden is driving progress in Sweden’s cancer landscape.
