In our article we review evidence on genetic predis. and how it may influence Rx decisions and management inc. surgery, radiotherapy, systemic Rx and surveillance.
Predisposition genes associated with sarcoma are summarised including disease inheritance, associated sarcomas and other malignancies
Evidence-based recommendations are not currently available for most predisposition syndromes.
We have therefore included pragmatic clinical approach considerations for clinicians managing individuals with sarcoma and predis. genes. Multidisciplinary input is key.
There are many unanswered questions, unmet needs and work to be done.
A global expert consensus meeting is being planned to help address these needs. Please get in touch if you work or research in this space and would like to be involved.
