Amanda’s Story Featured in Front Porch Conversations with Patrick Dempsey – American Cancer Society
American Cancer Society shared a post on LinkedIn:
“One in five people in rural America live more than 60 miles away from an oncologist. That was the case for Amanda who was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer at the young age of 33.
Unaware of her family’s history of breast cancer, Amanda’s diagnosis sparked conversations with family and friends that unpacked generations of barriers to care faced in her community. Now, she’s encouraging others to advocate for themselves and get screened regularly.
In the latest episode of Front Porch Conversations created by Pfizer in support of American Cancer Society’s “Change the Odds” initiative, Amanda shares her story with actor and cancer community advocate Patrick Dempsey.”
