Chris Poulios: Strategic Leading and Management in the Cancer Care Continuum
Chris Poulios, Pathologist – Education Manager at the European Society of Pathology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week I had the pleasure and privilege to attend an event organised by SPCC (Sharing Progress in Cancer Care) at the SDA Bocconi!
Along with expert colleagues, healthcare professionals and industry leads we spend 2 inspiring days advancing our skills for Strategic Leading and Management in the Cancer Care Continuum!
We had the privilege to learn from leading experts in cancer care, including among others, Dr. Dégi László Csaba (ECO President), Isabel T. Rubio (ECO President-Elect) and Matti Aapro (SPCC President).
Key part of this course was the break-out rooms where we explored strategic planning for various scenarios in healthcare!
This included identifying the reasons that lead to change, and both the short- and long-term impact of change!
I was included in a group exploring scenarios where science and technology were either optimally or extremely negatively used.
My nerdy self named the two extremes as ‘Star Wars Medicine’ and ‘Warhammer 40K Medicine’!”
