“Today, February 27th, is World NGO Day. This annual celebration honours the incredible work of more than 10 million NGOs and nonprofit organisations worldwide – including, of course, Lung Cancer Europe and our members.
The official theme for World NGO Day 2025 is ‘Empowering Grassroots Movements for a Sustainable Future’.
World NGO has grown into a global phenomenon over the past decade, acknowledging the work of the amazing individuals who drive them forward. It spans 145 countries on six continents.
Today we pay tribute to the more than 50 million people worldwide who are actively working and volunteering for NGOs and nonprofits.
